OnePlus 13 Software update policy

The OnePlus 13 was launched globally, including in India, on January 7 as the company’s flagship product with OxygenOS 15 based on Android 15. It is one of the latest handsets that gets the new Snapdragon 8 Elite chip and Android 15 version. OnePlus always keeps a simple software update policy for its devices, and the OnePlus 13 adopts the same pattern as it followed up.

How Many Software Updates Will OnePlus 13 Get?

According to 9to5Google, OnePlus is officially committed to offering four years of Android upgrades and six years of monthly security patches to the OnePlus 13. These devices are known as better cameras, software, and hardware.

This update can extend to various advantages, such as security and privacy, and offers additional features. It comes with the best quality and improvement for the handsets and solves the bugs, threats, overall system performance, calling, and background automatic handset concerns of the handsets.

OnePlus believes that if any smartphone gets seven years of software updates, it does not affect as much because many hardware systems of smartphones get damaged after three or four years, and almost all users change their device after 3 or 5 years.

Besides it, the OnePlus 13 was announced with OxygenOS 15 based on Android 15 in India and globally. As per the software update policy, it will receive OxygenOS 16, 17, 18, and 19 as well till 2028, and the security patch will extend to 2030.

Alongside the OnePlus 13, the company also launched the OnePlus 13R with Powerhouse, which combines flagship performance, versatile triple cameras, and a 6,000 mAh battery. It protects with ultra-durable Gorilla Glass 7i and delivers zero-blur photography every time.
